Clear barriers mean there is a fight to be had and you need to kill everything in the room before you can proceed. On a side note here whenever you see a door with a red barrier that means you need a certain amount of orbs to break it.
Either way once you have 45 red orbs you can proceed through the red door with the red "barrier" on it. If you can manage that, you will get a nice boost of 100 red orbs right away. You need to jump on the back of the horse, then jump again almost straight up to get on top of the tip of the spear.
There is a hidden red orb location as well on top of the statue in the middle of the room which has a knight on a horse (or looks like it). Start making your rounds around the room on all three levels to pick up the scattered red orbs all over. Once you get in proceed to the right of the opening (it is the only way you can go without falling back to the main floor) and you will get your next blue orb fragment. The second of three levels will be broken on the left side, and with a well timed wall hike you can jump in this small opening. Proceed to the back left of the main hall (to the left of the huge statue in the hall and to the left of the stairs that split in both directions in front of it). There is also another blue orb fragment in this room as well. Starting off in the castle you need to collect red orbs in order to proceed in the game. Now go ahead and proceed into the opening in the castle wall ahead to begin the first mission. Once you land on the bridge, walk into the tower and collect your first of many blue orb slices. If this is your first time it will most likely take you a few attempts. This can be a little tricky, but you need to hike off the wall or bridge and land right on the small bridge. Right after the yellow orb is a very small bridge above you with a little covered tower/gazebo looking thing attached. You will be collecting a lot of these for later. From the starting point run up a little ways and you will get your first yellow orb, which essentially are your continues in the game. STOP! If you are not careful you will miss your first blue orb piece in the game before you even start your first mission. For this reason I suggest you save after every mission and use multiple save slots if you wish.Īfter the opening cut scenes wrap up and you have control of Dante. While not required in your first run, due to having to do hard mode right after normal, it will be good if you have saved up your yellow orbs for that second run. This will net you an achievement at the end that you will not have to worry about later. Instead you should quit out and retry the whole mission again. Alright, let's jump right into this thing! First things first, unless you want to attempt this on another play through, I would suggest NEVER using a yellow orb for this opening run (which means no continues).
